The leaves of our lives

A young boy discovers a very old book in his grandmother’s library. Curious, he opens it and discovers dried leaves and petals. His grandmother explains to him that each of these plants has witnessed major milestones in her life, her parents’ lives, and then his own. Some pages are still blank at the end of the book:

“Grandma, let’s go on, there are still lots of pages! But some of them are blank…

– Because there are so many leaves left to glue.

– To remember all the extraordinary days to come! ”

Lenia Major is the author of over a hundred books for young people: fantasy series (including La fille aux licornes (The girl with unicorns), published by Talents Hauts, winner of the Prix des collégiens du Touquet award and the Prix Fleur de sel award), novels for teenagers and younger readers, and picture books. LAURA GIRAUD (illustrator)

Laura grew up and lives at the top of the Savoyard mountains, with her head in the clouds and her nose in the snow. After three years studying at ENAAI in Chambéry, her relationship with images has never ceased to grow.
